Cody was my dream horse - a tall, elegant bay thoroughbred, light and sensitive to the smallest cue. As a child, I had read of the thoroughbred 'look of eagles' and Cody had it in double doses. He was always looking off at the horizon to places I couldn't see. Enormously tall, but shy and fragile, I was the only human Cody trusted. Unfortunately our time together was short - Cody was severely injured in a pasture accident. After a year of trying to help him recover, he became too tired of living in pain and we let his spirit go free. He was my first teacher in the gift of mercy.

Shipping:
All orders are shipped via Priority Mail unless Express Mail is selected on the shopping cart shipping options. Before you select Express shipping, please contact Marjory at 484-480-5854 or email her at bhd.east@gmail.com to see if it is possible to finish and ship your order in the time frame you need. There may be an express handling fee in some cases.
All packages are mailed on Mondays to allow for shipping preparation over the weekend. This means your package should arrive during the week if this affects what address you would like it shipped to. Please allow 2 - 3 weeks from the time your order is placed until it is shipped unless you have arranged for express handling.
Feel free to contact me anytime with questions or to get additional information on an order. Thanks!

Black Horse Design is closing forever.
We have done our best to find a way to keep Black Horse Design open by outsourcing both finishing and shipping. Unfortunately, the logistics of managing that have proven to be overwhelming and unmanageable. Rather than continue to deal with the stress of the problems that have developed at a time when my health has to come first, I have decided it is best to close Black Horse Design.
Marjory has done her best to keep up with orders but a fulltime job, a teenaged son and a senior mother living at home, along with dealing with BHD orders, has become more than she can manage. We are trying to find a graceful way to bring things to a close and I want to assure everyone who has outstanding orders that you will receive them and they are getting absolute priority. If you would prefer to receive a full refund, please let me know and I will be happy to do that.
Starting the week of May 24th, I will begin reducing prices on all of the remaining inventory. Just above each order button it will tell you how many of those pieces are left but please be aware that if multiple orders are placed before I have a chance to update the webpage, the pieces you want may already be sold out. If that happens, I will give you an immediate refund so that you can place a different order if you want.
Also, be aware that because of Marjory's job and home commitments, orders will probably take four or more weeks for finishing and shipping. All order buttons for remaining inventory will be permanently removed after November 15, 2010 to give Marjory a chance to actually enjoy Christmas with her family this year.
My thanks to everyone for your words of comfort and support after I was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, and for your continued support during a year of fear and surgeries. So many of our long time customers have become friends through the years and I will certainly miss you...Carmon ~ May 21, 2010
