Copper came to us from Tex and Claudia Hill in Arizona. The night he was born, the Hale-Boggs comet was in the sky and his destiny was to be a reining horse. The 'Copper' in his name came from singing cowboy Eddie Dean's movie horse. Tex Hill is one of the last of the movie singing cowboys and naming Copper for Eddie's horse was a tribute to his old friend. Copper's reining career was cut short when he broke his shoulder playing with another horse, leaving him sound but unable to do heavy work. We are thrilled that Tex and Claudia allowed us to give this sweet and beautiful horse a home.
