J.R. Sterling brooch 2"...$50

Known as J-R to his friends, and shown as Le Sage, he was the gentleman of all horses. Bred to race, J-R was so fractious as a youngster that he was never trained to ride. We found him at the age of seven, running wild in a pasture, and took him home to be a dressage horse. More than anything else, J-R needed a job and the focus and discipline of dressage suited him perfectly. He absorbed everything we taught him and asked for more. He could always be depended on to give 100% and to do it with grace and joy. J-R retired in his 20s to a life of leisure, riding the trails with a horse family in the California hills.
