Sterling Lugh pendant 1 3/4"...$50
Lugh was the Celtic God of the Sun, light, and the grain harvest, who was honoured at Lughnasadh. This festival in honor of his birth was not a harvest thanksgiving but a feast of propitiation - a blessing of the harvest yet to be reaped. His father was Cian of the Tuatha de Danann, but his mother was Ethniu, a formorian. Samhioldananach, one of his many names, meant 'Master of All Arts' for he was accomplished in each of the royal crafts. Lugh was also known as 'Lugh of the Long Arm' because he possessed a magic spear called the Gae Bolg. Once cast, the Gae Bolg never missed its mark. The Gae Bolg later became the possession of his son, Cuchulan, the Hound of Ulster and the mightiest hero of ancient Celtic times.
