Seven long-legged greyhounds all got loose one fine day
Not up to any trouble mind you
They just wanted to run, jump and play
Let's jump up to frolic with the stars and the moon!
Exclaimed the silliest one...the others declined
For they were certain he was crazy as a loon
The next said he would prefer a nap in the sun
The rest left him to dream
All knew he was really the lazy one
The next spied the beach and ran to greet the waves
While all watched his antics
They agreed he would be at this for the rest of the day
Now that three were all at play
The rest knew they shouldn't tarry
If they were to have fun this fine day
I think I know what would be most fun
I shall gaze at the stars to learn their names
This from the really serious one
The fifth one then said with joy in his heart
I shall bounce, crouch and bark
For my cookie dancing is truly an art!
As night fell upon the remaining two
They also gazed upward in joy
To howl at a glorius moon
As they all gathered to decide what next they should do
All agreed there was only one fitting end to such a fine day
Seven long-legged greyhounds gathered round
for a big goodnight Rooooooo!
